Now I need to figure out how much it would cost to ship a Locost to the old country. I'll be hitting a big one in 3 years :BH: ; would be perfect timing to ease the pain.

Martin,
I shipped a car in 2013 from Richmond, BC, to the Tilbury Docks in London in 2013 and the quote was $2450 with All Cargo Express, plus 2% insurance on the listed price of the car. Luckily the new owner of said vehicle paid the shipping etc. A friend is currently looking into sending his Aston Martin DB2/4 Mk3 to the UK, so I could find out the current shipping costs if needed.

In any case, those roads look very fun to drive. Though I would say the roads you have right in your own backyard are pretty good roads for Sevens or any sports cars, provided the motorhomes dont slow you up. I've always wanted to drive the Duffey Lake road in a sports car, but the only times I've been on it were in SUVs.

Rod,
the Duffy is what my build is destined for. Early morning runs for coffee in Lilloett will be the order of the day. Now that it is re-paved, I can't wait. We used to call it the Ruffy, and, I'm dating myself here, I used to do it on a dirt bike, before it was even paved. But now it is smooth and very inviting. The only fly in the ointment are the hordes of campers, therefore, 5 am starts are in order.
Thanks for the shipping info. I'll have to mull this over.
