Hey everyone!

My names Josiah, I live in Winnipeg Canada. Im 20 years old. My day job as of now is a general contractor, currently specializing in interior renovations, decks, screen rooms, fences, and my favourite timber framing.

Current vehicles are a 1990 Mazda Miata turbo making 175whp and 172 wtq, a 1991 Nissan Skyline GTR making an estimated 350whp on 13.5 psi of boost, and my winter beater/work vehicle is a 1990 Jeep Cherokee.

Im Currently in the planning and tool acquiring stage for a miata based build. My plan as of now is a book style build with the haynes miata rear end (I believe thats the correct one may be wrong). The car will use a 1.6l miata motor with a 1.8 torsen2 rear differential. Im also planing on turbo charging it, shooting for a power output of between 175-200whp and 170-190wtq. Overall weight goal will be between 1200-1300lbs without driver, should be a fun car! Hoping to start my actual build this time next year.

I like your taste in cars!! Good luck meeting that weight goal. All the turbo goodies add weight fast. Welcome to the forum.

Well if people are getting kicked out for not posting an intro here, I guess I'm toast.

Hi, I am new here. I wanted to say hello.

Hello.

In the planning stages of a BEC Locost. Maybe a mod here or there. I like the compactness of the drive train, given it would let me scoot the firewall forward and the the fact I am 6'4".

So I get to keep a small fun (not looking for all out craziness track day ruler) car and have something to build with my sons.

Look forward to reading many a thread and asking many questions.

Hi, I've been lurking for a while now so I'd might as well introduce myself ...
¨
I'm Fredrik (or Freddie), car geek by nature and nurture. Daytime, I'm a PhD student in design engineering and product development and nighttime, I dream about cool projects. Sometimes I even try do design some of my ideas, but to this day I have more theoretical knowledge than practical experience ... Oh yeah, I live in Sweden, so I'm a bit out of county here. I hope that is okay :)

Huh? Whut? We ain't gonna scare off nobody... Well, maybe a telemarketer or two... Bubba 'specially ain't gonna scare off anybody from Sweden, he's heard alllll about "Swedish Meatballs" and wants to try them...

Welcome, Fredrik! Come on over to Team Slotus any ol' time. Bring some meatballs for Bubba... Toss 'em to him from 4 or 5 feet away, it'll be perfectly safe!

Greetings,

I tried to sign up today only to find my typical username was already taken. So I tried to log in using it and one of my typical passwords. Well whataya know, looks like I've been registered here for over a year already…

Anywhos, As my username might suggest, I'm a fan of a certain brand of Italian motorcycle. For many years i've wanted to build a Midget-like toy with Moto Guzzi power and with a friend going to and talking about the recent TROG event the idea has bubbled to the forefront again. On thing led to another, and here I am. Again.

Nothing more than info gathering for now but I've come farther than I did the first time I logged on, so there is that.

Back to lurk mode now...
