Here's a link to a thread on LocostBuilders.co.uk that discusses some of the modifications that are considered "standard fare" on their R1 builds. I've read this before but wasn't sure if the thread had ever been referenced on this forum.

The mods came about because of engine failures and while people here frequently mention baffling & and additional oil, I haven't seen the other modifications documented here. Most of the failures documented were based on track use. Being aware of these issues might prevent a nasty surprise on a track day.
