After several months of occasional emails it appears he now has a u-joint fitment sourced that would place the output parallel to the crankshaft.

V4 anyone?

Would the motor sit sideways in the frame? Or like it would in the motorcycle. Russ

Does that introducing oiling issues or will a new pan cure it?

I can explain it to you,
but I can't understand it for you.

Other than eyeball impressions I really can't give much of an answer, visually the pan resembles a shallow tub with a coffee can attached to the bottom.
Considering that it's more of an " oh crap hang on!!" type of bike I'm hoping that little if any baffling needed to be changed. Still, an Accusump is never a bad idea.

Here's a guy that's done a nice job of resolving the one oil leak problem I was aware of by relocating the sealing o-rings.

Considering that the g loads are at 90 degrees from the way the oil pick up is designed you'd think that if you didn't modify things you'd end up with oil accumulating where the pickup ain't.

Well, that's kinda my point, the VMax is not so much designed for leaning as it is for getting down the road. ..
And a deeper sump would be easy, the existing one is round to begin with (like a coffee can).
