I like the look/functionality of your setup Nufun.. I'm uncertain of the availability of those aftermarket oilpan fittings for my less-popular VRF800 engine.. I hear what you're saying about placement.. I have a crossmember
very close to one of my fittings- I know the oem end will go on, but those that you're running just wouldn't fit with my current setup.. My car is tiny (Honda N600), and I'm finding I'm often measuring clearances in milimeters- so little room for stuff!
-I think I see where you're going MiataV8... I wonder if I could cut my lines, and just tack two or three small weld beads around the circumference of the end of the tube to act as a 'flair' to keep the hose from backing off
