Hello -- have any of U builders weighed you frames b/4 you put on suspension and running gear? I just finished my 4th frame and weighed it( 1" and 3/4" .065 wall) and it was 83lbs on the button- just wondering what other frames weigh?
take care
Nohair

That is right in the ball park, My frame wt was 78lbs W/O the top engine bay diagonal, I have a bolt in diagonal. The floor and front foot wells made from .052" steel added another 75lbs.

Hey! Blue Devil-- did you weigh your frame yet?
another question I have for everyone--

Has anyone used .083 or thinner metal for a frame? I am considering trying one and was wondering if anyone has gone down this road B4--- have tried to use the listed weight for tubing to figure weight and I am sure it would weigh a little more than that est.
thanks
nohair

No hair- I have not officially weighed it nor will i be able to now  but i would estimate it to be 150-170lbs. my cage is all 1.5" .120 wall and my frame is 1" and 3/4" 0.0625 (16 ga)

Can you post a picture of your frame? I would be interested in seeing it!

I'm in Creswell for the next few days (Baja Eugene, for you easterners) and I could give a look and give an opinion for folks who can't visit easily. I'll PM you a phone number.
