http://www.motofgr.com/specifications

6 cyl, 2.5 liter, V90, 240 hp, 160 nm torque (about 118 lb-ft), chain drive.
Complete bike = 578 lbs.

Wonder what an engine and wiring could be had for?

That's pretty cool. I wonder why they made it a 90 degree instead of a 60 degree v6 though? I think my win the lottery engine would still be a Hartley V8. The 2.8l version based on Hayabusa parts is supposed to be 400 hp at 10000 rpm. They're expensive, somewhere around $45k.

They make a 4 cylinder that is a lot like a bike engine, but built to accept a car transmission and clutch too.

H1 and H2 no longer sold.
Bolt 4, $17K! :BH:

I think I will email the makers of the bike I posted and see what they would want for an engine, ECU and harness.
Maybe they would sell the parts from a test mule since they are not in the over-regulated USA?

This does motivate me to look into adapting the clutch from a BMC Mini to BEC's.
My Triumph Hurricane used a Mini clutch as stock.

Update: I did email FGR, waiting to hear back.

Between being really foreign, and the utter unavailability of parts, it just shouts "stay away."

I would guess it mostly has to do with intake packaging.

Or, it might be shouting "Business opportunity"!
"Global Economy" and all that.
Probably about impossible to bring in the complete bikes but engines for motorsports use should not be too hard.
Dollar vs Euro is not great but maybe they are not all that expensive?
Heck, maybe the Gov. there will subsidize exports for citizens job security?
Too bad I'm not one of the favored few, all the doors would fly open for me and I would not even have to spend my own money.

UPDATE: NOT Euro's!
1 Czech Koruna equals 0.040 United States Dollar.
So the price may actually be very attractive if they will sell what we would want.

UPDATE:

Company did email me back.
No joy, complete bikes only which I am sure would not be readily importable.
I have no contacts there to find me a wreck. :BH:

So, any chance we have a Czech member or two on these forums?

Why not just use an aluminum car V6?

Not as light, but no doubt way cheaper and will have reverse.

There's also the Motos 1600 cc V-4 available as a crate engine.

Or the 2.3L triple from the Triumph Rocket 3 from a wrecked bike

Weight is critical as the car I am building will be REAR engine.

MOTUS is touting their torque but does not give a weight for the engine.
V6 Car engine will be large and heavy.

Most likely I will end up with an FJR1300.
Still have not given up completely on the Czech V6.

EDIT, OK 135 Lb. is great.
But over $10K is :ack:

As my wife says "It's only money."

And since you'll be $10,000 lighter that might help. 8)
