Advice.

Would a split drive shaft be required for a bike engine build with a NON IRS rear end ?

Would anyone have any pics of their setups and or recommendations on drive line from bike engine to diff.

Aussie Racers and US Legends racers run front engine rear solid axle, but I think they run an electric reverse box or something.

It will be a track car and I wont bother with installing a reverse for the mean time.

Thanks for your help.

It depends on the alignment of your output shaft and the pinion. In most cases the output shaft is too far over to the passenger side. You can move the tunnel, if you don't need the passenger space, or use a two piece shaft, that will take up some of that mis-alignment. I made up a two piece and moved the tunnel 1 inch to the right, while my engine is as far to the left as the frame allows it.

Similar issue on ym R1 build last year. I did a short shaft from the engine to Quaife box and a slip joint shaft from Quaife to 3rd member. The full range of motion on the 3rd member absolutely demanded a slip yoke. There was close to 1 inch of yoke movement between full bump and full droop due to the relatively short shaft.

Contact Troy Hoffman owner of Outlaw chassis dwarf cars in Michigan. (Midwestclassicracers.com). Jaxports made a reverse gearbox for the street version dwarf car. (dwarf cars are like legends but have no fenders or motor rules...faster!!!). I think they are still available.
