This was just brought to my attention so I thought I would throw it out there. I did a search and didn't see it mentioned so if it has been I apologize. Suzuki has taken the Hayabusa engine and tuned for more low end torque and put it in a bike called the B-King. It's relatively new (2008 MY) so they may be hard to come by as donors right now but might be better suited for a BEC than the Hayabusa down the road...

edit: I just checked the 2009 line up and it's not listed, so may be 2008 MY only??

Suzuki doesn't give out HP figures for the B-King, but it's generally accepted to be at somewhere in the vicinity of 181HP, about 14 HP less than the 'Busa--probably due to the intake and exhaust changes--but greater torque. The V-Max is supposed to be 200HP, but I can't seem to find the torque figures on the 2009.

Having mentioned the V-max here is more....

The motor is still a V-Four—what else could it be?—but it's all-new and grows from 1198cc to a healthy-sounding 1679cc, working through a 90 x 66mm bore and stroke. And how's this for heart-pounding? The claim is 197 horsepower at the crankshaft, accompanied by a massive 123 foot-pounds of torque at 6500 rpm! That, friends, is stout and makes the V-Max the most powerful series-production motorcycle ever.

Too bad both of those have the drive shafts on the left (assuming the Suzi is shaft drive). If they were on the right you would not have to flip the diff. Honda has an ST1100/1300 Pan European that has the drive shaft on the right. That would make sweet donor. Russ
