Hmmm. Thanks for the recommendation MV8. I think I have some Amazon gift cards sitting around, and might just have to pick up a copy of that myself. Not that it's going to be used any time soon, I'm sure...But someday...Hopefully...Maybe.

Nothing critical to safety like suspension or brakes for me though...I'm more interested in 'non-critical' things like cylinder blocks and heads. :BH:

Yes, making molds or patterns is my interest at the moment. I think I still have a local foundry. that's might be some 30 miles, but doable.

Are you talking about that place in Marlboro on rte 85? I go By it occasionally on the way home from work. I see cars there, but not many and it never looks busy...

I've seen that place and wonder what goes on there, it seems pretty neglected.

The place I know is in Woonsocket or thereabouts. I don't remember the name right now, a friend did some illustrations for them and thought they were cool people so told me about them. They seem pretty pro for a small outfit and have a web site.

Actually searching Woonsocket foundry returns 3 and I think it was Cumberland Foundry. From their web page it seems tehy are only doing iron, I thought they did aluminum too.

Wasn't "M" the senior guy in MI6, you know, James Bond's boss? I could see you in that part, MV8!
