Very interesting! I wonder what a good US donor would be considering how rare the Fiesta was here.

I already have a not-so-Locost 1", 1.75" tubing bender, so I didn't read the whole thing, but does it have to be a Fiesta hub for some reason? Would any other similar hub not work? Looks like it needs a lot of work to get from hub to bender anyway, so maybe another hub would work.

Fiesta's here are hen's teeth in the US. They never imported that generation of Fiesta that is shown, and the older ones that they did import are very rare at this point.

Festivas are not the same, not even related, completely different.

From the article:

Quote:
If you're an American, then try using the hub off the rear of a Focus which I believe has the same set up and on the more basic models uses a drum rear set up.

I believe the author was saying that the Fiesta worked perfectly because the radius of the Fiesta hub was right on 4 inches, which is the perfect size you want for bends in a motorcycle frame. However, due to the principal, I see no reason why any other size WOULDN'T work.

Last page they recommend a Focus for Americans looking to make a bender. Anyone know if Focii have stub axles at the rear?

EDIT: Hmm... the last few posts didn't show in my browser when I made this reply... sorry for the duplication!

I will follow those steps to build my own tube bender. This is really perfect for this coming April. I and some people that I know will be going to build a small house of mine. That is the place where I will spend my life creating some of my projects and have some relaxation.Tube Notcher
