I've watched "Senna" a few times, follow F1, and have been playing F1 2010 and F1 2011, and I was wishing I had a Senna helmet...

Then I started thinking... anyone ever paint or wrap a helmet? I bet either of those would be viable, and a ot cheaper than the 480ish Senna replica.

I have painted my own helmet. Following advice from those in the know, I used enamel paint (apparently lacquer paint can damage the shell of the helmet). I painted blue on a white helmet to form the Scottish Saltire. It's easy and enjoyable as a little project. Senna's helmet would be straightforward to do as it has blocks of color. You just need a lot of patience with taping it properly. The trick is to use the thin blue scotch tape that car detailers use. Sorry, I don't have pictures handy.
