I have access to a water jet cutter for the next few weeks. I need ideas of things to cut. If you have something you want cut, I can do it- I just need dimensions and material type. I can get most sizes of scrap for cheap from the local yard (steel 16ga-3/4", aluminum 16ga-1/2" both are unknown composition though), so it wont cost you much. Let me know if you have an idea.

Current ideas:
-exhaust manifold flanges (i plan on making some 22RE's and some miata)
-nosecone grill
-paddle shifter parts
-tow hooks

I need some manifold flanges made for my brother's DOHC 4.6, 8 of them in fact. They would be annoying to make by hand from 3/8" ish steel, so this is probably a better option.

I may also need some brackets made from 1/8", but those are a little easier to make by hand.

What sort of file can you import into your CAM software?

I keep thinking I reply to forum posts, and all I really do is think about replying to them. Sorry about that...

Cost wise, prices will vary based on how long things take to cut. I'd much rather take CAD files than do the design work. The machine will take .dxf, .dwg, other 2d cad files, and can even trace jpegs (more for making decorative parts...).

Here are the EGR block-off plates and exhaust manifold flange that ive designed and cut. waterjet machines are awesome.

I know this is digging up an old topic, but is there any chance I can get the DWG or dxf of these Exhaust flanges?
