Anyone taken a look at this?

I saw it on the Australian forum and took a quick peek. I won't have time to really look at it till after work today, but I thought some of you might be able to find some gold while I'm out slaving away.

Lots of goodies to download. I have not been able to open any of the files downloaded though. I sent him an email describing the problem. I love the idea of an "open source" race car and I have been kicking it around for a couple of years, but never really acting on it as I have a real job too.
I will say though that this group has plenty of resources to pull off a virtual company to do the same thing if we collaborated. I am not sure if there is enough US market to make it worthwhile though.

Wow! That could give the Radical a real run for the money.

Here's how you open them direct from the Australian forum

"X_T files are CAD part files that can be opened with Autodesk Fusion 360, VectorWorks, or Siemens PLM Software called Parasolid."

"the trial of Auto desk and did the trick"

"From the homepage it looks like you can ask Andre directly to add you to his GRABCAD group. That would save having to go through the website which looks like it is struggling to cope with big demand. It does mean that you will probably have to register with GRABCAD. The email address given is: andre@andrecars.com"

Hi,
I know how to open the files. Its just that Solidworks thinks they are corrupted files, Acrobat thinks that the PDF's are corrupted as well. Were you able to actually open files? I will ask him to add me to his GrabCad group. I am already a GrabCad member.
Thanks,
Paul

I haven't even been able to explore the site. I had to leave for work just a few minutes after I found the site and I didn't get home till about 8:30 last night so I just looked at a few forums and then went to work. I'm off to work again in a few minutes. At this rate it will be the weekend before I get to explore any.

He added me to the GrabCad group and those downloads are perfect...I suggest that route. I noted on his website that he said files were not downloading properly due to heavy traffic.
