I'm a big fan of doors (over hinged windows), ground clearance, and cup holders.

Seriously though, the more people who can actually get in and out of this without pain, the better off you will be. Try a wood 2x4 mockup of the window size and dash to floor opening to try getting in and out. Then find someone 6'5" and 275 lbs to crawl through. Looks like you have eliminated well-heeled athletes and older people from your potential customers. I'm sure a quick release wheel is a given.

Structure is not complete.

I've had many many people ask how hard is it to get in and out of the 7, especially with the convertible top up.
My reply is that it all depends.
On what? they ask
On how much you want to drive the car, I say

C4 vette w/ root on it... sit on the sill, scrunch up, spin around, fall into the seat. To get out, simply fall on the ground....

Very impressive concept, looking forward to your updates!

Would you be kind enough to reveal who quoted you for the windshield?? I have a project that needs a bespoke windshield to DOT standards and the only company near me has stopped doing automotive work. Do they make the tooling directly from 3D CAD files or do they require the major 2D section curves? Compound glass is tricky - therefore $$$.

Sorry for the late response. I got quotes from these guys http://www.racingshields.com/

Hey guys I got an update.... not really. I have not done any work on the car since the last post. Currently I am trying to get a welding table made and a chassis jig. I am also looking for help cutting the body out of foam with a cnc. Also I was thinking about posting the model on the web and doing an open source project sort of like Perrinn. If you are interested in helping with the design please contact me.

So I am starting to ramp back up. I have some ideas I will share soon.

Thanks guys

That seems like an awful lot of money for a composite windshield. In 2016 I got a quote for about the same amount of money from Coastal Curved Glass in Pitt Meadows BC for a proper laminate windshield. At the same time Vintage Glass quoted me a range of $3-5K. I think those numbrs presupposed that I made my own form, but that's probably true of everyone.
