usps, well i sent a letter and asked for a delivery reciept costs extra, three weeks later i had not recieved the notice of delivery, so i called in at the post office where they told me to phone the number on the card, i did and was told that i could wait up to three weeks to recieve a reply after delivery, well if it was never delivered i could wait for ever then.

i call the complaint line and the next day i got a call back, the man said he would send me a copy of the delivery reciept, a week later i recieved the photo copy showing it had been delivered three weeks previous, two days later i recieved the original reciept.

so from posting locally, it takes four weeks to tell me the same, if it took tree days to get the letter from me to the other party and for them to sign the reciept, in the post office, that ment that it took over three weeks to come back.

this was p.o. box to p.o. box so the reciept never left the post office service at all in its over three week journey.

if it weren't for a mountain, i could see the delivery post office from the one i posted it from.

so my parts were out for delivery at my local ups depot at 4.29 am this morning, but by 9.27 am. they were in San Francisco what the hell happened there, that'll teach me to complain about a rural sircharge.

Was at someone else's office today and saw a battered box in the corner. She went to open it and found UPS had just about completely destroyed a box of copier paper.

It had been thrown around so much very little of the paper was usable except by kids in the first grade. It definitely wasn't usable in a copier.

Par for the course with UPS. I can't remember a positive experience with UPS except for small paper type envelopes.

International shipping aside, UPS has got my money (most of the time) the USPS tracking system is a joke. Most of the time I get delivery confirmation with Priority Mail. I am still waiting for confirmation from one package that was delivered a week ago. Delivery of a gift card took 3+ weeks via 1st class mail! But sometimes you just can't beat their pricing especially their Media-Mail for books. Ont he other hand, our local UPS Store is great. I get a discount from on-line pricing, free tracking (updated real-time) Delivery has always been excellent. I really don't have any need to ship Fed-Ex. I used to work at a place whose Fed-Ex 2nd day shipments were less expensive than UPS Ground. So I always used that when I could. Funny what business contract pricing does for a person.

I really don't think that USPS, FedEx or UPS handling is much different from vendor to vendor. You get some idiots in all businesses.

I agree, I've actually had good luck with all of them.

I just posted the flying parcels to show that they all have some crazy delivery people. But I must say that with a 100# dog barking at the delivery guys I rarely have to sign for anything.
