Hi all.
It's been a while since last post.
(Used to be chanoquin)
I have a 1995 Mustang which will be the new donor.
A friend of mine wants the seatbelts, and as I won't be using them I took them off. The seatbelts were working OK when installed but now they won't release.
I did nothing to them.
I've seaeched the web and can't find whats wrong with them now.
The belts will retract fine, but if I try to release them they will only do so 1/2" at a time.
Any help??
Thanks in advance. :BH:

Don't know about those specifically, but traditionally, they lock with movement of the pendulum. It has to be oriented the same way it was in the car.

Do you mean they won't extend from the retractors? Or the buckle won't release?

As Miata said, some belts need the mechanism to be oriented in the same manner they were installed in the car, X Y and Z orientations.

It was either a computer hiccup, a website problem or a brain fart. My apologies for whichever it was. Is this what I have to look forward to in my waning years? :BH:
