I seem to have hit a roadblock, I need to mount an electrical windshield wiper as my handheld wiper passed the specialty inspection but PenDot failed after looking at the pictures in Harrisburg. I purchased a street rod electric motor from speedway but am struggling on how to mount it. My criteria is that it needs to be removable but functioning as the rep from PenDot will inspect the car after the 8 changes are made that they requested.

I have the clamp on mount from speedway but it is designed for a round windshield frame. I have Jack’s U shaped frame that was part of his kit. While the clamp somewhat worked to hold the hand wiper I don’t think it will work for the electric motor.

Can other share how the mounted there motors, pictures would be great.

Thanks,
Chris

I fabbed supports in front of the windshield and mounted two units. They're tilted forward about 45*.

I had/have that same windshield wiper motor, I made a clamp from a piece of 18 gauge steel (or was it 16?) around 1-1/4" x 8", folded almost flat in the middle with a pair of matching holes the size of the nut (which was a weird one--9mm by 1mm or something like that DON'T QUOTE ME ON ANY DIMENSIONS) so tightening the nut pinches it closed to grip the windshield frame. The grippy part was a row of three 90 degree bends (one L-shape at the end of the clamp, one Z-shape on the wiper motor side of the frame) covered with some wide heat shrink tubing. Works fine.
