Has anyone installed a GPS Speedometer? Where to install or mount the antenna?

Cheers,
Roy

I mounted mine below the scuttle on top of the tunnel .....No problems with it there.

I have one; the antenna is pretty small and just needs exposure to the sky. At the moment I have it in the corner of the dash.

I mounted mine on the center of the scuttle, ahead of the windscreen.

Thanks for the info. guys. The instructions say,

"For best performance, mount GPS antenna with as much view of sky as possible (preferably on the roof of the vehicle). The GPS antenna is waterproof and magnetic.
If the car’s roof is not accessible then mount the antenna on top of the vehicle’s dash with as much exposure as possible to the sky through the window. (Antenna is able to receive signal through some thin materials i.e., wood, glass, fiberglass and plastic. All types of metal will block the signal.)"

I was hoping to mount the antenna on the underneath side of the fiberglass scuttle. Maybe it will work. I'll give it a try. Did anyone try this?

Cheers,
Roy

It'll work fine through fiberglass, but not carbon fiber.

Mine came with a 6 foot antenna. I taped it under the scuttle and around the cockpit (under the plastic lining of my walls). The idea is that the antenna has to be able to «see» the sky.
