I've been searching for a particular tail light that looks something along the lines of the below ones. I'm having one hell of a time finding a look-alike. Anyone know where I might begin to look?

The lower light is a Lucas L692 for red, L691 for amber.
The upper is a L549 I think.

Check out an early Austin Healey Sprite (the bug eye kind). Moss Motors, etc should have them.

Early Triumph Spitfire look a lot like that. There is a dealer for these parts (re-pro, but excellent) in New York (www.spitbits.com), and I'm sure there are others.

Great lights, as used in early AH Sprite, TR2, MGA, and some other cars; I have my eye on them, too. Moss Motors has them. If you get the Moss part number, these guys may be cheaper:

I used motorcycle taillights from a Honda Shadow ACE. Pretty easy to find on eBay, and not too expensive. Here is how to make them fit your fenders.

A good option for lights: http://www.s-v-c.co.uk/lights_rear.html

The ACE lights are a nice option! Taking them from a bike makes them hard to recognize. VW Beetle lights will work, but they're so obviously VW Beetle lights...

Cool, SVC has updated their website and now has the L549. Another light on that page that is different and looks good on a 7 is the S300, which Superformance used to use.

Incidentally, the L549 will need a relay to make it flash. Otherwise, it's just a running/stop light.

I think you'll find that all lights are just light bulbs. It's up to you to tell them what to do :)

Hahaha, you're right, Keith. I am practically superstitious about electronics.

Those Mix-n-match lights are almost exactly what I want! And a hell of a lot cheaper than Nissan Skyline taillights...

Not as pretty as the Honda lights, but bright!

As far as the Lucas lights go Victoria British out of Lenexa, KS also has the assembly...about $10 cheaper than Spitbits, but both have been excellent part suppliers to me in the past.

The upper tailight is a WINGARD hard to find in good condition. I'm using Harley tombstones on one car and will probably use Spit on the other since it is nearly the same and has reflector.
