I'm trying to remove the old steering wheel from my chevette column.
I've removed the clip and nut from the wheel. now I have a puller on the wheel with two bolts in holes provided in the wheel. I'm pushing on the splined shaft end and pulling on the wheel but it is still furmly attached. Is there a trick I'm not seeing? Penatrating Oil?? Bigger hammer??
Any advise would be helpfull.

Just keep tightening the puller and it will pop off. Sometimes they can be tough.

Put the nut on 2-3 threads, and rock the wheel gently while pulling. I've had very few that won't come off with this method.
