I've never been too fond of the locost design (please don't take offense - it is a nice design). I would love to make it a full body like a Lemans LMP2 or similiar. But what is everyone's opinion of the Whelen Modified racecar design? http://hometracks.nascar.com/files/imag ... 100211.jpg

Reminds me of the "Flip Car" in F&F 6, which I don't find particularly appealing.

The modified shares the bad aero downside of the 7, without the that looks kind a like a formula car looks of the classic 7 body done right.

So a net minus in my book, although I am all for alternate/updated body options. Especially those that improve the aero.

You can go for a more traditional clubman 7 evolution, or further improve the aero with a fully enclosed body. I guess the clubmans sort of look like a late model if you squint a lot.

Or more of a hybrid, sevenish but with enclosed fenders.

Too bad this was not available: http://www.banovsky.com/archive/suzuki-hayabusa-sport
It looks like it would be perfect for a Lotus Seven type car .

I quite like it. Sort of like an Opel GT mated with a Panoz and pulled the windows from an old Subaru

Me like it too. Here is the wolf in sheep's clothing. It looks a bit wider than most of our builds here. But certainly, no more advanced underneath.

Dale,
Thanks stopping by!
To my way of thinking, you were on to something with this styling.

I can see by looking at this photo gallery you weren't afraid to rework any part of the car when the design needed to take a different direction.

Found your Locost USA build log. Any thing you could do to flesh it out would be appreciated.
I would like to know more.(what changes did you make to the I4 intake?
12 hr. days don't leave you much, I know...
If you have a few minutes?

Thanks Ron

Hey Ron- If you like that "look" on Se7en -I do too- try looking up the Black Brick from years gone by.

JD,
Ya know, I may have to include attachment points (see..not using the "B" word  ) just in case, so I could add full fenders in the future!
