Post #8 on this page viewtopic.php?f=2&t=13274 shows Mark's simple curve windshield on his Lotus 11 replica--it came out looking good! I'll agree a molded windshield would look even gooder, but you could make/buy that later.

We did wrap-around windshield on our
race car MG Midget which was about as wide
as Lotus 15 .
By using polycarbonate (makrolon)
plastic (made by Bayer, the aspirin people)
It is much easier to work with than with
plexiglass, it is unbreakable and the same as
Lexan ,which is polycarbonate too.

Makrolon or Lexan bends easily over a simple
wooden template and by poring boiling water
over it, it doesl retain desired shape.

This is what we did, but if the windshield
has three dimensional shape and needs shrinking,
then my suggestion is good for nothing..

Cheers
Ewhen (the Lotus freak)

We used i/8 in. (.125.thou) thick ,
it was just right for the job.

The pictures (below) of our MG Midget
sporting wrap-around windshield
were taken circa 1963, with camera
found in cornflakes box, ewhen very sorry

Cheers
Ewhen
