IMHO, the locosts I've seen advertised on FB and craigs list often have some relatively minor details that could throw a buyer off. Take this one from long ago, based on a vw rabbit.
I shortened the nose and reduced the opening, moved the headlights forward and down, moved the wings forward and widened to cover the tires, dropped the sides so it isn't a nightmare to get in and out (would probably raise the column into the dash panel and spread the gauges for space too), raised the windscreen, removed the extra tall roll bar, and replaced the fiberglass dunebuggy seats with a traditional squabs and bench back. Night and day difference in appeal.
I also started the body taper at the dash where the builder started at the rear firewall so not so minor work for that.
The rear body could use some rework but not that bad as-is.
