 Post subject: rivet grip length

The "grip length" of a rivet is supposed to be the thickness of the material it's supposed to be holding, not the length of the rivet body, right?

I haven't seen it as a particular length, but rather a range.

Yep. The thickness of the parts should fall within the grip-range. This will help pull the parts tight together.
