Capacity is 23 gallons. A new galvanized tank costs about $100, tank vent grommet is $10, sending unit about $65 with low pressure pump or less and put in a high pressure pump. They do not have a drain and are strap mounted.
Dims: 29 wide, 24 front to rear, 14.5 deep with expansion space. Vents are plastic. Fittings are for nylon but R9 rubber can be used without mods to the sender, by either slipping hose directly over the sender pipes and slightly flaring the ends of the pipes if concerned about hose creep, removing the nylon from an oem quick release fitting, dressing the barbs if necessary, then slipping on the R9 and clamp, or using a metal splice on the nylon hose to transition to R9. Splicing can be a pain the first few times.
That's about right capacity wise for a thirsty beast like a v8 or rotary but way too big for most of us.
Also, there are no baffles in this tank so that should be addressed.
Jack could drive about 2300 miles on one tank!
This is the original tank from my 88 bronco 2.
