I bought an Omni 3 bar map sensor for my car and was very happy with it. However you need to retune/recalibrate the engine if you use a different Map sensor.
Honestly for something like this I would always go OEM or reman. It's not worth the hassle to have engine problems over a few dollars.
As for relocating it, I am sure you could make it work it is just a pressure sensor, however you may have to retune the engine. All the fuel trims are based off the Map sensor (Air in) and O2 sensor (air out), changing there values could lose power, efficiency etc.
