I think all of these hoses on the back of the engine look bad. Any thoughts on how to clean them up?? Doesn't someone make a braided hose adapter for barbs/nipples?

You can build the most awesome thing in the world but at some point, an 80yr old man in a crx is probably going kick your butt on the track... don't ask me how I know.

Call Speedway in Nebraska and have them send you a catalog. They carry a wide range of Aeroquip and other push-on hose and fittings at pretty good prices.

Much cheaper to go the route of expanded braided sleeving on those.

If you clean the hoses up nice, sleeve, then use some marine/adhesive lined shrink tube on the ends, it will look really good. You can use standard clamps over the heat shrink without issue.

Another trick is to clean the nipple and the inside of the hose with alcohol, then use some hairspray on the nipple and slide the hose on. Shrink the shrink-tube, and it should stay put for vacuum lines and boost reference lines.

For pressurized coolant, I'd go with new spring clamps or oetikers.

Some people never have anything except ideas. Go do it.
Emissions & fuel economy haven't exactly been areas of strength for past rotary power plants, but absolutely no one with a soul has ever cared.
