I'm looking for some decent flexible exhaust tube/pipe. It's really just for part time use.

Anyone here use it? Or have a better idea?

Ok, I'll be the first to walk to the front of the room and face you all.
Yes I have used it, it was a long time ago, I never inhaled, and you are correct. It's just for part time or temporary repair IMO. It is not a permanent piece of exhaust pipe, but it does do the job in a pinch.
Now that being said, I've seen expensive classic cars with flex exhausts coming out from the side of the hood to a collector. Maybe there are different qualities of this flex pipe, I don't know.
There now I can sleep tonight.

I suggested using it on a company vehicle when I lived in West (BY GOD!) Virginia. Mechanic told me it wasn't legal in WV. Well, he said it wasn't legal for him to install it, but I could when I got the thing home. We went with bent/welded pipe.

I don't know what your application is, but if it's going to be visible on a road-going car, you might check local laws.

A) it leaks
2) it rusts out
c) A lot more support of the exhaust system is required

Other than being lower in initial cost, I don't know of any single redeeming factor. And the lower cost is rapidly lost when you have to do it over again and again.

I definitely does not hold up. I have used it several times on cars that were nearing the end. It does make a simple and quick repair though.
Now this sort of thing is a real piece that holds up. https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/walker-flex-connector-42216/18382035-p?c3ch=PLA&c3nid=18382035-P&adtype=pla_with_promotion&gclid=Cj0KCQjwl9zdBRDgARIsAL5Nyn1AIeJxUOfRtKaGpytfr4ypuWz6FBcYtyhVCNY6i4CSEfqLYxAxkSEaAhreEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds&dclid=CK7Uwp-9790CFVNSDAodjZMMeA
boy that is one heck of a URL...

JPS. That is the section that just died on my buddy's Smart car. $800 dealer cost to replace the exhaust !!!!! It did last > 7 years though.

Yeah, I would call 7 years holding up. My volvo has one that is 14 years old and still going.

It also does not have as small of a bend radius as mandrel bent tube. I think they make it in stainless too but I'd be sure they say what alloy.
