I don't know what it was like where you were watching, but our cable provider was out of sync with Fox Sports Network all day Saturday and Sunday morning with respect to Le Mans TV coverage. Apparently, Fox made arbitrary and unannounced changes in broadcast times AND channels with no prior consultation with, or notice to, the delivering providers like ours. It was a fiasco!

I missed the first hour of the race all together. Then the race would just disappear and some other sporting event would appear in its place - no notice given and no announcements made - not even a crawler at the bottom of the screen. I think it was totally unprofessional and completely incompetent to say the least. Last night I did Google searches to see if I could find another provider. That turned up a lot of on-line complaints by various news and sports outlets making some of the same type of complaints about Fox Sports.

What did you experience?

It might not be Fox's fault. 2 weeks before the race I was trying to find it so that I could set up the recording, but no where was there any peep about LeMans. After a little searching I found out that no one had bought the rights to the broadcast yet.

I haven't watched it yet so no spoilers please.

The reality is that 99.9% of people don't care and won't watch it anyway. Realize that us here are very much a tiny percentage of the public and the phrase "follow the money" doesn't favor this type of sporting event. A perfect example is how many people go to autocross events simply as spectators and well, there you go.
