Scroll about 2/3 of the way down the page and watch the video from a Japanese car show. Amazing stuff, some of it just too weird to my eyes, but lotsa work and creativity. (Although several of them have near-identical "box" fender flares.) I wonder about those 3 foot long front splitters... How do you get home from the show without bashing 'em on something? And I'm definitely building a 6 foot tall vertical exhaust and painting it bright yellow...

Enjoy!

Let's see, form follows function, right? Actually, I didn't see much form or function. Maybe they plan to go under water when Godzilla comes.

On second thought. Does anyone here remember the Pontiac Aztec? That car was actually designed by a professional designer, or so they say.

I like the TV antenna exhaust pipes. Those chin spoilers would be great in the snow.

I remember children pointing and hooting when they drove by. There should have been an ugly tax, like a gas guzzler tax, for those.

The local Pontiac dealer had about 20 of them on the lot once. Bright yellow, with camouflage interior upholstery. WTF?

The question would then be, "designer of what?"

With GM, there would be at least three focus groups, an interior and exterior detail design team, and of course management approval. And not one of them said, "Whoa, who do we expect is going to buy one of these fugly pieces of ****?" The whole organization was full of fail, as the saying goes.

They did have two prime cars, the GTO and the G8, but they didn't seem interested in selling either of them. More fail.

Red Green is my hero! I guarantee he'd never go anywhere (even Japan) without his duct tape!

Man, you're bringing back memories. I once worked in Coudersport. Back in the day, I didn't have a car. I hitch-hiked from Coudersport to Kentucky. I got stranded for several hours in the Allegheny National Forrest. Finally, a truck came along, one of those stubby mobile home pulling trucks. Gave me a ride all the way to Youngstown,OH. People nowadays don't hitch-hike much. I've hitch-hiked all over. You meet a lot of interesting people.
