Posting a few more photos for 4MARIO. His car is coming along quite nicely and should be back on the road soon.

Just out of curiosity how did the insurance claim work?

Car gets totaled and bought back? Insurance pays for repairs and car is not totaled? Forget insurance all together and call it part of the hobby?

Insurance company was involved because of the type of accident; F150 pulled out in front of the Stalker. The Stalker was totaled by the insurance company. The owner settled with the insurance company, got the car back and then had Scott Mineheart rebuild/repair the car. Car will have a salvage title. Never mind the salvage title . . . . continue having fun with the car.

If the truck had been a van or car the front end of the stalker would have taken the full impact without lifting and rolling the other vehicle. If the truck had been lifted/jacked up a few inches which is common, the windscreen and occupants would have taken the full impact.

If it was an unavoidable impact, it worked out prefectly!

Really lucky!

Definitely unavoidable; no missing the truck once it (the truck) ran through the intersection. Check out the skid marks in the photo link. :ack:

I am glad the occupants of the car are in good shape and the car is being put back together.
