Those poor cardboards. I see you press them flat too. Are you going to smoke them?

Thing is, now I want cheese...

I'm presuming this is an example of that subtle English wit I've been hearing about. Sorry, man, but here in the Colonies, we need our English humor at the Monte Python/Benny Hill/P.G. Wodehouse level if it's going to hit home. In summary: I don't get it, and I doubt I'm the Lone Ranger...please explain.

Either that's his drawer of pattern material, gasket making material or he's hiding evidence.

CAD is a crucial element of my TDS (Total Design System), which includes MAD (Masonite Aided Design) for those items that must have some sort of rigidity, most commonly to work out proper movement. MAD is usually employed only after CAD demonstrates project feasibility and gross shape.

Here is an extreme example of a MAD creation.

So it goes from CAD to MAD to make something BAD and it all started with murdering cardboard :)

My guess is cardboard boxes were on the way to the rubbish bin... hoping to make a clean escape.

They were busted along the way and now await their fate as CAD fodder.

Mockup of a long stroke engine. I decided to build something way out and decided upon a 1"X4" stroke engine. It will have ported auxiliary exhaust. That normally requires a very long con rod, so I tried this approach. While the MAD mockup had some neat features (counter balancing movement), all in all, I did not like it. Can't remember why.

Anyway, it lead to this lever engine. It reached this stage a couple years ago and is still pretty much unchanged. Maybe someday I'll find the time.

The most recent post of something in alum plate with largely rubbed off bluing and incomplete, resembles my garage to a T.

And yes, I get the playfulness about the cardboard.
