This appears to be a compilation of video clips from European hillclimb events. Don't know any details, but DAMN, that boy drives the PooPoo outta that Vee-Dub! Enjoy...

I think he knows that hill very well, and has driven that car many times up it.

I like how they prepared the course with all those cute pillows to run into if you get off course!

I thought he was going to eat it when he missed that gear, but it wasn't in a bad spot.

Driver sounds like me when I used to dirt oval race, I'd be hooting and hollering as I pushed a slower car down the backstretch and into turn 3 faster than they had ever gone! :^)

Crazy guy! Fun video, though . . . to watch, that is. I sure would hate to have him pick me up if I was hitchhiking.

Cheers,

When did the Swiss re-institute auto racing?

I noticed that too. Especially if rolling down the side of a mountain for a mile or so is a possibility?

I still remain puzzled. I thought that the Swiss banned auto racing (with the possible exception of a new exemption for Fe) after the LeMans 1955 disaster?

Hey Tim-
The racer/race team is supposed to be Swiss. I don't know that the event(s) filmed are...
TWWTFM said some of the road signs looked German. She don't speak German, but she's TWWTFM, so I didn't argue.

I checked again. It does say "Swiss Hill Climb", JD. It was reported by a fellow named "Poddy", so I figure he was a passenger during that up-on-2-wheels/lawnmower segment. I wonder who cleaned the bottom of that cabin after the event?

Cheers,

According to Wiki,

Quote:
Motorsport circuits and events were banned in Switzerland following the 1955 Le Mans disaster with the exception of events held in a time trial format such as hillclimbing.

Other sites report Formula E was legalized in 2015. So far, no races have been run.

On top of that, the use of German language road signs might indeed be Swiss, or for that matter, Austrian, or even German?
