Hi everyone,

A good friend of mine has a Lotus Europa that he is rebuilding. Unfortunately a previous owner cut the roof and top of the doors off and fused the door bottoms into the body. He's looking for a Europa roof and doors or molds for them or an old wrecked body. Anyone have any ideas where to find same?

Thanks for any suggestions...

I would not hold my breath for those parts.
Photos of the carnage could make for better suggestions beyond the basics.

I'd repair the roof first with a foam buck roof skin and door top jambs.
Then build a foam core door on a steel hinge to latch frame, cut out for glue-in flat qtr glass with a mastic edge for appearance, fit track channels with felt for flat glass, fit acrylic for now but eventually convert to use laminated windshield glass (over tempered) for easier cutting.

You might contact someone currently restoring one to ask for good photos of the inside of the roof, jambs etc.

Both doors from the guy between the Neatherlands and Lauderdale is the way to go! Will definitely need glass work around the hinge bosses in the doors though. Minor.

If you're going to look at bringing pieces in from abroad, look up Boss Motors in the UK, they have the molds for the Europas. Or you could try phoning Banks (also in jolly old), they can supply just about anything.

Post over at lotuseuropa.org forum. There are several sources for Europa body parts. Vendors are listed as well. Used bits also become available.
