Took it to caffeine and exotics on sunday and during the 45min ride there air temps were at around 80 degrees or 10 over ambient. On the way back I pushed it a bit harder and never saw it break 100 degrees. Which is about 20-30 degree below pre intercooler. The test will be high speed cruising, I watched as air temps hit 200 degrees when cruising at 70+ for around 75 miles week before last. |

Just got back from the second dyno tune to adjust for the intercooler and it was a great success. Air temps were 100 degrees cooler that the previous tune. And because of that and finding a few areas that were leaking boost, I am now making 25 more hp and 10 torques to the wheels. Final numbers were 167hp 136ftlbs, there is still room to hit the 170's but the injectors are maxed out at this point. Blue lines are from a few months back.

I was able to see this car in person today. THE PICTURES DO NOT DO IT JUSTICE!! Dave's attention to detail is amazing. This car looks like it was made in a factory. Dave took me for a short ride along and it sounds so good. The supercharger is so loud, it's awesome!! It just gets up and goes, rides really well and just is an amazing piece of craftsmanship. Thank you so much Dave! It's been a great last minute trip. |

Recently I was telling someone about what I want to build and as an example showed him, you guessed it, Dave's car. Besides having a great eye for color and proportion, Dave splurged in all the right places to bring the look together. Though I settled on the Haynes Roadster as being a good design for me to work with, I've often thought it as being a bit of an ugly duckling. Not this one, brother. |

Thanks guys. Briggs it was good meeting you and glad you enjoyed the ride. Did you get any video? I too thought the haynes was kinda ugly, but that had more to do with the nose they used in to book. Proportionally i think its actually pretty nice. I always found the nose on the orginal 7s and caterhams to be a little to small. Which made the transition from the cockpit to nose pretty drastic. Haynes may be a bit fatter but i like the transition. |

But the nose came from equinox in the UK. Equinox and other Uk companies are sometimes hard to communicate with. They have different business practices than we do over here, and so sometimes it can get frustrating with knowing what is going on with a quote or order. Also they are not the only game in town. There are a couple straight bolt on options depending on you chassis, and you could also alway modify something else to work. If you order with you other bodywork shipping isn't to bad, but not cheap. |

I lucked out and found Neil at kitcardirect he was happy to handle that stuff (for a small fee) and since I was ordering stuff from him we just combined it into one big package. Also make sure you get your order right. Shipping from UK to US isn't that bad, but going US to UK is a killer. Almost 2-3x the cost. |
