Well a Locost is never done until its sold. Since mine moved to Atlanta last fall I guess I can say its officially finished.

The entire build took about 3 years starting in January of 2008 but there was plenty of tweaking and tuning after that.

The car featured steel plate front uprights, MGB steering rack, Miata brakes, a 2.0L Ford Duratec engine coupled to a NC Miata transmission, and a 1986 RX7 (non turbo) rear differential with a Type 2 Torsen from a Miata replacing the stock open diff.

After it was on the road and upgraditis hit the following winter, a roll cage, wider wheels with slicks, a Megasquirt 3 with sequential fuel and ignition, and ITBs magically appeared. Can't leave well enough alone right?

It was one heck of a journey and I'm glad it found a new home where it will be treated properly.

Congrats on a great build. It looked very composed when you were autocross it. What made you sell it?

Thanks.

I like building and tweaking and it was just about as good as I was going to get. My attention has shifted towards the Sprite/vintage racing and I have a move coming this year so its one less thing to worry about. Plus I know if I ever want another it wouldn't be difficult to make it happen. ;)
