Picked my kids up from school again on Friday, just dodged a much needed thunder shower in the afternoon, but we ended up only getting about 3/16" of rain. Still better than nothing. I got a couple cool shots while driving on back roads too. It was so dark at 2:30 in the afternoon that I could see the headlights shining on the road.

I've put more miles on this thing in the past week than the rest of the summer combined, and it's been a lot of fun.
The tiny bit of rain knocked the smoke out of the sky, and today was a beauty day. A pretty nice sunset tonight too, first one we've seen in a long time.

Only a little bit locost related, my wife is getting set up to make custom printed t-shirts and other stuff. She made me a shirt today.

It doesn't show up that great, but the orange is a decently close match to my car. She scanned the extra emblem I have from Botbasher's group buy a couple years ago. She's been busy with all kinds of stuff too, here's a vinyl sticker she made for our son's bedroom door, and a coffee mug for me.

If anyone here is interested in something, let me know, she's on the lookout for new things to try, and hoping to start up a home based business with this kind of stuff.

I strongly suspect that if she's going to set up for making t-shirts like that one, there will be a LOT of people wanting them...including me! Seriously - I want one!! Please, keep us posted!!

Love the coffee mug!
HamDip made one for me that says "They say Super Heroes don't exist. They haven't met my Papa Bear!"
I'm very proud of that mug...

Cool, sounds good. So far she's just been doing stuff for the kids and I to get the hang of it, but she's got a t-shirt press on the way now and a box of blank shirts showed up yesterday. Once she gets a webpage set up, I'll post in the for sale section.

Yup, stuff like that is way cooler than generic store bought gifts. When the kids were even littler, she had them out their hand prints on some mugs. My wife and I each have one, as well as each of the grandparents.

Pulled my locost out of the garage for the first time this year to clean it up for a local show and shine tomorrow. Had issues getting it into gear because the clutch is dragging. I pulled the scuttle skin off to have a look and it seemed like there was just a bit of air in the system. No big deal, I can bleed that in a couple minutes. I managed to push the rest of the fluid out of the slave and now it really doesn't work. Turns out my 35+ year old master needs replacing, and nobody in the area has one in stock. I pulled it apart and cleaned everything up, but the little piston that lets fluid from the reservoir into the master cylinder keeps getting stuck. Hopefully I can get it sort of working for tomorrow, if not I guess I'm going to find out how hard this transmission is to shift without the clutch. I think I'll order a new brake master cylinder for it too, as the one in it came from the same junkyard donor way back when.

Im sure I'll manage to snap a few Lonnie. I'll probably be helping my wife a bit with her table for the craft fair that's a going on in the community I hall too, she's been busy doing up fancy cups, water bottles, and keychains to sell. I got my clutch working for now at least. Theres a spring in here that I think was binding up and not letting the check valve piston retract far enough. It took more tries than I'd like to admit disassembling and reassembling to get it figured out and working, but I finally got it. Cleaned the winter's dust and grime off and it's good enough for tomorrow. It was never supposed to be a show car anyway.

A pair of British sports cars at the show and shine today, neither of which contains any British parts.

The Jag is a VW based kit my uncle picked up in Arizona last winter, then when the weather was decent he drove it back to Canada with a friend. It was registered in the early 90's and had a little over 250 miles on it when he bought it from the guy that had it built.

Actually, that was quite obvious, due to the lack of leaking fluids.
Good to see you're posting again, Kristian.

Thanks Martin, it's good to be back. I've been pretty much just lurking since I parked the car for the winter. I see they're not doing the car show in Pemberton this year, that's too bad.

Finally insured my car this summer and made time to pull it out this morning. Have it a quick wipe down and took the scenic route to Salmon Arm to be part of a small car show a local club was putting on. Not quite a sportscar club, but some pretty nice cars there. My feet have grown over the last couple years and I'm wearing size 13 shoes now. That almost got me in trouble today when I was trying to be a bit of a hooligan passing some traffic at an underpass. But it's not like I had any say in it, you just have to giver a bit for underpasses and tunnels, it's in the rulebook.

It's been way to long since I've had the car out, I forgot how much fun it is to drive. The looks and waves from random people are still pretty funny too.
