Hey everyone (and chet),

I was wondering if there's any way we could get RSS support on this forum. There are many easy-to-install mods available, one popular one seems to be RSS 2.0, here: http://www.phpbb.com/mods/db/index.php? ... ib_id=6905

For those of you who don't know what RSS is, it stands for "Real Simple Syndication". Its a standardized way to pull a "feed" from a website, no matter what that feed is. It could be news from cnn or fox, or it could be new posts on a blog, or it could be a number of other things. I personally read a follow a huge number of websites that post regularly about a variety of topics.. if I had to go to each website and navigate around on it to check if anything's been posted and read the new posts, I'd never get anything done! Thanks to RSS, I have a program on my computer that aggregates all of the articles I care to read about and I just have one place to look at for my reading.

Some examples of popular RSS readers:

Google reader: http://reader.google.com (online, multi-platform)
NetNewsWire: http://www.newsgator.com/individuals/ne ... fault.aspx (for mac, this is what I use. It syncs with google reader also)
FeedDemon: http://www.newsgator.com/individuals/fe ... fault.aspx (for windows, this software kicks ass too)

So yeah. I will love you forever chet if you install this mod, it would make the online-locost-life a lot easier for me at least, and probably other folks too.
