I have to log in every time I hit the site. Checking the "stay logged in" box doesn't do anything.

Twice today I typed a lengthy message, clicked "submit", got sent to the login screen to log in AGAIN, and of course the board vanished everything I'd typed.

Some of the more agressive privacy extensions will kill the session cookie that allows for a persistent login.

What browser are you using?

IE has an option to delete everything each time you close the window. That would only be the case if it happened for every site.
First thing I would do is try on a different computer, tablet or phone and see if it is a computer or a profile problem and go from there.

Okay, it did it AGAIN when I wrote the first reply; I logged in, spent only a couple of minutes writing a response, clicking "submit" took me to the login screen again, and it dumped the contents of the reply box.

I'll save this one into the clipboard in case it happens again...

I'm using the current Konqueror and KDE desktop.

The "log me in automatically each visit" has never worked here. It doesn't work on thegreatmodel8.com either (phpBB), has always worked just fine on speedtalk.com (also phpBB).

Lately, I'm having to re-login several times during a single session; usually when making replies. And now when trying to save a reply.

Okay, it took it that time, but not the first time.

Ah, Konqueror!
That one is a beast of it's own. :)

Unfortunately I made the switch from Firefox to Dillo to Chrome, and never ran KDE as a window manager, so I can't be as much help as I had hoped.
