Every now and then I'd like to include a photo in a new post that is already on this site from an old post. How do a feller do dat?

It's probably no big deal to keep reposting the same old photo over again, but it rankles me to waste resources (bet you never knew that about me, did you?) including storage space.

Right-click > Properties > URL Address. Paste that in like you would when posting any picture. I randomly copied this picture already here:

No "Properties" when I right click. I used "Save Image As". Let's see if this works.

Mike,
Notice that Kurt's doesn't show up with the 'attachment' box around it, while yours does? Using the 'save image as' the way you did is reattaching it as a new photo, which is exactly what Jack is looking to avoid.

If you don't see a 'properties' option to get the image address, there should be a 'copy image address' (or similar) option when you right click on it. Use that, then simply paste it into a [img]*[/img] code in the text of the post.

I did "copy image address" and pasted and highlighted it and clicked URL in the menu and got this:

I did "copy image address" and pasted and highlighted it and clicked Img in the menu and got this:

That's more like it. Thanks, guys.

All I have ever done is drag and drop the photo onto the screen, then drag photo back onto the browse/no file selected box and drop it.

I get this.

Keep after it, Bob. With the help of the guys, you'll figure it out. I am totally digitally challenged, so if I can get it, so can you!
