Seems to be a bug in the User Control Panel’s Profile link. Here's the message I get when clicking on the link:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected end of file, expecting ')' in /home/locost84/public_html/forums/includes/ucp/ucp_profile.php on line 321

Yep it's been like that for a while.

I found it when I tried to change my Sig.

I just tried to edit my profile today, something still isn't working. I get an http error 500 message, but everything else works.

I just successfully edited my time zone settings, the way postings are displayed and a couple of other preferences in my member profile. I didn't try to change my signature, however.

There seems to be no reason for it, but my preferences get changed from time to time even though I don't modify them myself.

Cheers,

There is a file broken somehow, the link to the users profile shows

http://www.locostusa.com/forums/ucp.php?i=164

in the local file system (where the forum lives) it will look like this ./ucp.php?i=164

The other pages i=165 up all work

I don't know if 164 is a file or a database entry.

The error states "www.locostusa.com is currently unable to handle this request.", so it could be something as simple as permissions.

It is not giving a 404 file not found, "unable to handle" is the clue so it is not able to access the resource or it is not receiving usable data from that resource.

The version of the board software has been trimmed, down there at the bottom "POWERED_BY"

There are forums that support forums but without the version.....?

Does the forum admin actually have access to the file system?
Has the software been customized by someone?

Feel free to PM me for my digits I'll be glad to help if I can.

There are too many to choose from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_Internet_forum_software

Many of the versions are GPL'ed and this implementation may be in violation of the GPL by failing to identify!

I hope it is not a pilfered proprietary version either!
