Sometimes, on the Board Index page, I'll get the yellow thingy indicating there is a new post in a section. When go to that section, there are no yellow thingies showing a new post to a topic. I jump back to the Board Index and refresh. No change. The only way to clear the yellow flag is to enter the section and click “Mark topics read”. I think I may be missing some posts?

It just happened to me again. I see the yellow flag showing a topic in the “Builders Log” is new. I go to the Builders Log section and no topic is showing yellow. I know this can happen on a brand new topic until it gets its “sticky”. But that is not the issue here. I go to the end of the stickies (I think pg 4 or 5) and nothing is yellow there either.

It seems to happen at least once a week.

Anybody else?

Is it possible that you get it in a forum that has a lot of stickies (AKA build logs)?
If that's the case, a new post that wasn't stickied yet isn't on the first page, it's behind all the stickies...

In my case it looks like it happens when a thread was new and has been moved before I read it. Or perhaps moved after I have logged in .. not sure. The moved thread does seen to be a common part of what triggers this behavior for me though. It's only an occasional thing so it hasn't been much of a problem.

I have edited a couple of posts to add pics and they weren´t moved up on the ranks.
Maybe those are the ones you´re referring to.
If you hit bump post it will send the thread up, but evren then, you may need to brouse the thread to get to the edited post.
From now on I may as well edit my last post on my log for clarity and to avoid hassle to the guys following it.
Unless of course that is against forum etiquette  :)
