OOOoooh....sixteen-wheel drive! How many differentials does that require?

Just one diff...but the traction control is a wiring nightmare and I have to run 16 rotors, 8 master cylinders, 4 bias knobs, and 8 e-brake cables. I'm a little worried about the unsprung weight.

You should be more worried about the alignment...
16 casters and no camber adjustment?!
What were you thinking?

nose cone looks like a pain to do... take a look at my build thread in the non traditional... i just finished making my mold for my seats. The plug took fooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrever. But none the less looking at that plug i can appreciate all thw work done 100%.

For my body ill be forming it with foam... then ill do a wetlayup over that. Then ill just sand the hell out of it till its nice for paint. Then just rip the foam out from the back. No need for me to make even more plugs and molds lol

Theres unlimited "caster" so no need for alignment. ;)

SCD, its a +2 at the nose but from the cockpit back its a +1.25. I have no idea on the height or overall length. Its kind of a weird combination.

Thanks BD; I may still revisit the nose plug some day in the far, far future. Until then I'm waiting on Jack's Haynes Roadster nose.

blue devil:

If you use styrofoam with an epoxy skin, you could just dissolve the foam
with gas or maybe paint thinner would be a bit safer....

After messing with the HF tubing roller, I was able to get some acceptable looking pieces (see http://www.locostusa.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4996 for that saga).

Getting the back section on and aligned wasn't bad. It isn't as vertical as it looks in the pics.

Next comes the front and rear fenders....

Thanks Sam.

After only 2 months, I finally got around to mounting the Kinetic steamroller rear fenders.

I'd highly recommend them to anyone who needs a set of fiberglass fenders. The separate flange made aligning and mounting everything a breeze. Thanks Jack.

Santa also brought some master cylinders.

Fenders look great.
Which MC sizes are you using for the brakes?

I'm starting with 0.625" for the front and 0.7" for the rear.

I made a spreadsheet a few years ago for doing MC sizing and it proved to be accurate enough on FSAE cars - hopefully it also works on Locosts. ;)

....plus everyone else running Miata brakes seems to be using this combo so it can't be all bad.

YGPM Josh.

I got the front fenders mounted.

The amount of flex in the mounts is kind of surprising. How much do these things normally move?

I also pulled the valve covers on the engine to figure out if this thing is worth rebuilding; its not looking good for the engine....

Having re-ringed a 4AGE - it is cheaper to find another one. Even a 20V.

The thought crossed my mind...but it doesn't even turn. :(

I'd agree its probably not cost effective to bother rebuilding. If the bottom end magically happened to be rust-free, a cheap Ebay head may be enough to get this going along with a head gasket but I'm not overly optimistic.
