It fits pretty good what ever its from.
It came with some documents, pics & receipts, & a scrap piece of paper with some of the parts on it but, his hand writing is so bad that i cant make most of it out. I think the 3rd from the bottom says Windshield? but cant make out from what? any ideas?

I havnt decided on what route to go on it.
Try to replace the glass.
Buy/make a Traditional one.
Or just go with small wind deflector.

I like it. I bet the previous owner had a lot of good times in that little ride.

With all the work you are doing, it looks like you could have started from scratch a whole lot easier. Looking forward to more........


edit: It might just be that BMW windshield (maybe cut down the height?).......

I considered that. but i doubt he cut it up it doesnt really look like it. I took some better pics of it.

Yeah its alot of work but at least i got to enjoy it for a year & i dont have to bother with the registration nightmare.

Is it laminated safety glass? Sometimes you can tell a make by the marking (if it is still there)

Mid-60s mgb windscreen, imho.

Good time to change the rear main seal and gasket and check the clutch/fly/pp/pilot/release brng.

A diagonal across the front would be a good idea to prevent lozenging the frame if you bump something like a curb.

I also do not see a support bearing for the steering intermediate shaft. Even a bolt together bushing would be better than nothing.

I'd also check the bump steer while there is good access to move the tack if necessary since you have lowered it and save a full suspension system swap for later after it's back on the road a while.

What is your oil pan ground clearance with the engine fitting under the hood? You may need to raise the suspension back up.

Sort of fun to see a Locost deconstruction instead of construction. Like looking at a build log from the end and then going forward.
This will be a really nice car at the end...but it sure is going to look like its first picture!

An MGB windscreen is way too big for a Locost. A Midget/Sprite windscreen might fit a 442.

I wonder if a windshield repair shop would have any idea of what it might be.
It indeed looks like a real nice option.
What was your thoughts on the wind buffeting before you took it off the road to do all the great mods you are doing.
