Wow! Finally found my build thread on page 3. This means a lot of you are building 7's. That's a good thing. Anyhoo here's a bit of an update, I know its not in the proper forum but what the hey. About 13 months ago this build became legal, that's in the proper forum, and I wanted to weigh the car. I was figurin' around 1200 lbs. Today, taking a break from car#2 LSO, as me and wifey were on a blat we came upon a weigh scale. 1450 lbs with a full tank of fuel, that's 250 lbs more than I guesstamated, pretty close by my standards. We have put 1843 miles on the 7 and are still smiling. Be prepared to spend 20+ minutes at the gas station when filling up, you have to explain your build to people and use their cameras to take their pictures standing by or sitting in your car. That's the reward of building your own car, life is good.

Perfect car building, it looks that front suspension King-pin offset is a little big ...did you feel heavy when steering?

Thanks for the comment Cheng

If you are asking about the positive scrub radius I find that with such a light front end there is minimal feedback to the steering wheel when hitting pot holes, squirrels, pop cans, goat droppings, and such. It was a concern when I was building but it turned out to be a pleasure to drive and handle. You would think there was power steering on the car, very easy to turn the wheels when parking.
