Don't know what they were thinking there but its right now.

That works too, Probably reduces the total angle that way by raising the pinion flange.

Yep factory put a down angle on trans and then put a matching down angle on the diff. Now it will be equal and opposite.

Hey remember the other car we're building? Yeah about that we got back brakes now! Basically all t-bird 10 1/8" with the rotors re drilled and the center opened up to the cobra hub size. Heavier than I'd like but as soon as you say light weight with ford the rotor diameters start going way up and with 11" fronts I had to keep the back small. Yeah I know 11" is big. Oh well the front brakes will be light weight. Full Race is still working on a wastegate bracket that clears everything for the turbo. So that's it for now on my Hicost. Back to the previously scheduled Mustang!

Hey long time no see. Been lurking but nothing new to add to the build. Just thought I'd bring the build log back from the 3rd page. Still working on the mustang. It should be done in about 2 months so then we can get back to this build. Wrecked magazine did a feature on my Mustang build log this month. If anyone cares here's a link to my mustang build.
So I'll just leave you with a pic you can drool over of my extremely not low cost custom made 2 way competition coil overs from KW Suspensions. They also have independently adjustable caster camber on the front struts with a inch of adjustment for camber caster plus upper strut mount hole slotted for even more camber adjustment. With the lower arm fully adjustable I can set it up pretty much any where I want. Which also is kinda a pain initially setting it up with so much adjustment.

Yep didn't want to join the herd of 240's and wasn't using the mustang anymore.

Hey Dean, I live in Tracy. I saw either a bodyless locost or a dune buggy going south on Corral Hollow Friday. Any chance it was you?

That's right by me but no it's still on the build table under a pile of car parts.

Do you plan to go with wider rear wheels so that they fill out the fenders?

Yep I do those were small on purpose just to make it easier to get the feel and work on setup. Stock motor will really only keep 245's spinning good. Pics were from the first time out with it. Never gonna be as wide as the front though it's +7 wider track and want to keep it at least 3-4 inch narrower in back for handling. The 4 degrees camber on front is only reason they don't stick out past fender. Its +2 wider track in back right now. When I'm ready it's getting a 411 sm block. Then biggest tires rules will allow.

As it looks right now still with sm tires in back.

I've having so much fun doing this, that with the time and cost involved I don't think I will ever get around to finishing my Hicost. So I'm taking offers on what all I have for it. Plus the build table.
