It's hard to tell from the pictures, but it does look like that curved "side piece" for a scuttle is a bit tall. There's a thread in here somewhere which discusses the scuttle height above the frame, iffen I find it I'll post a link.
If the Minehart family shows up with their Stalker at our local autocross tomorrow, I'll measure the "bump" on the hood and let you know the height. I'm pretty sure they're running the NA Buick V6 motor and not the supercharged one. The SuperStalkers have a bump on the bump in their hoods... Or, you could stay faithful to Mallock style and just cut a big hole in the hood and leave most of the engine poking out of it in front of God and everybody else too!
