Welcome and thank you for contributing some pictures and a log! Best luck on your progress.

The upper a-arms were designed and fabbed by me out of 1 in. 4130. .058 and .095 and .125
plate. Weld-in threaded bungs were used to attach the .5 in. rod ends and the Corvette tie rod ends I used to replace the s-10 upper ball joint. The reason they are primed is I consider them finished. As soon as my machinist is finished with with my steering rack mainshaft I hope to finish my steering. Then I will move on to the brake and clutch hydraulics. The MGB seat is just being used for placement of pedals and steering wheel although with a little modification could possibly be used. Be careful with welding 4130. If it is fully annealed stock you should be reasonably safe afainst cracking. If it is higher strength material, look into getting them heat treated to prevent problems developing in use.

It's been quite a while since I've posted but I've made a lot of progress. The pictures show my home brewed glass nose and steel scuttle. Also my pedalbox and extended shifter.

Looking sharp. Really nice fiberglass work - what method did you use?

I see switches and wiring - is it drivable yet?

Andrew, I built a buck out of plywood and blue foam, sanded roughly to shape , skim coated with drywall compound, primed with water based kilz, waxed with Johnson's paste wax. I applied 1 layer of glass cloth & 3 layers of mat. Used a long board with 40 grit paper to shape & skim coated with bondo & finish sanded. Mold held up well to the polyester resin I used, but I destroyed it pulling the nose off it. I have drven the car up & down the street in front of my house (carefully). I wanted to see how it cooled, shifted & braked. The only major thing I have to do yet is devise a emergency brake. Then hopefully final tear down to weld in floor & paint, wiring, gauges, lights, aluminum paneling & a hundred other small tasks. Attached is pic of rear fender mold.

Great progress! That gas tank is not much different then the one Ford put in my Ranger...

I have been working on my homeade fenders. Also attached photo of one of the front fenders in progress. The plastic gas tank is temporary-just to move the car around the shop under its own power. I think i'm going to make a steel tank. Thanks for looking

Nice build ..i love those 2.8 v6,s they are so compact..unlike the holden 3.8 in my build..big and bulky..great looking scuttle and fenders
