I don't remember the details but I think folks have had trouble with coil over mounts to the frame like your front suspension. There's a lot of force going into that tube as torque and it's trying to pull the weld loose at the bottom. I've seen folks run a tube across the frame on top and your brackets look like that would work for you so you could add that.

You could add a gusset to both the top and the bottom corners of the bracket that extends all the away across the frame tube to the in-broad corner of the top tube. My bracket does the same thing but is actually two pc's with a "U" cut out of the side to slip over the frame tube. Can only see a short section of the bracket weld in the photo because of the nose cone. As long as you extend the gussets to the hard corner of the tube you should be OK. Dave W

I haven't got to making the gussets yet. On my last RM build many years ago, I added triangular shaped gussets to the top and bottom corners to the side of the frame rail and then another on to the top of the frame tube. I'll get them cut and tacked in place then post pix before they are finish welded. I think it will be fine, but will welcome all of your comments before welding them in, should there be a better suggestion.

Thanks for your input and looking out for my best interests.

Dan
